FOLIA ENTOMOLOGICA HUNGARICA ROVARTANI KÖZLEMÉNYEK (SERIES NOVA) XXVII. 1. 1974. I>. 193-209 Dedicated to Dr. G. Szelényi on his 70th birthday Identification Keys to Integripalpia (Trichoptera) of the European Families, Subfamilies and Genera II. By H. STEINMANN (Received May 1, 1973) Abstract: Key with unified characteristics to the European Trichoptera families, subfamilies and genera are given complemented with the pertaining list of species. Family: Limnephilidae Tibial spurs variable. Maxillary palpus of males 3-, that of females 5-jointed; basal joint of both sexes small and concurrently shortest; second longer, usually at least twice as long as first. Third joint of males about as long as second, that of females not much longer than second. Fourt joint - similarly to basal joint - generally short, < or only slightly longer. Fifth approximately as long as second. Antennae long, but shorter than, or at most as long as, fore wing. Fore wing narrow, long, apex slightly attenuating, widely rounded. From among end-forks only first and fifth easily identifiable, second and third usually without styli, their identification requiring considerable experience. In identifying species, characteristics of external genital organs should also be regarded. - The femaly is extremely rich in species, those living in Europe might be relegated to 4 subfamilies. Identification key to the European Subfamilies of the family Limnephilidae 1 (2) Wings of similar shape, lanceolate, rudimentary; only venation pubescent, pubescence short and thick, bristle-like. Tarsal joint ciliated 3. Subfamily: Drusinae partim
