S. Mahunka szerk.: Folia Entomologica Hungarica 26/2. (Budapest, 1973)

generally wider than long, but discernibly longer than joint 4. - Type-genus: Cylindrogaster STAL, 1854. Cylindrogastrinae MACCAGNO, 1929 Male paramere significantly wider on its anterior part (towards paramere) than at base, genital lobes relatively small, only slightly longer than wide (Pig. 38). Type-species: gracilis STAL, 1855 Cy lindrogaster STAL, 1855 41 (40) Bornean species. (In general resembling the preceding genus, but as I could not examine its genital apparatus, the revision of the group must be postponed). Antenna! joint 5 short, about as long as wide, similarly to joint 4. Its external shape resembling that of Diplatyinae species. - Type-species: Dlplatymorpha BOESEMAN, 1954 Diplatymorphinae BOESEMAN, 1954 42 (27) Pemur not compressed, its dorsal margin not or only slightly edged. Male paramere usually deeply cleft, between parameres on its anterior margin, emarg inat ion eventually very wide. Parameres situated "spaciously", that is, their tips on outer part of plate, inner margin of plate uniformly arching toward middle. - Type-genus: Echinosoma SERVILLE , 1839 ( = Protalabinae BEY-BIENKO, 1959 syn. nov .) Echinosomatinae BURR, 1910 43 (44) Incision on anterior margin of male paramere medium deep ,narrower. Paramere thus not Y-shaped, and incision reaching at most to middle of plate (Pig. 39). - Typespecies: afrum (PALISOT de BEAUVOIS) , I8O5 Echinosoma SERVILLE, 1839 44 (43) Cleavage on anterior margin of male paramere very deep and wide. Paramere thus Y-shaped, incision reaching further than middle of plate (Pig. 40). (On the basis of presence of arolium, the genus was separated from Echinosoma - to which it is very similar - by BEY-BIENKO.As however, the arolium may be present in Echinosomatinae species, tto, I have drawn in the subfamily.) - Typespecies: aroliata BEY-BIENKO, 1959 Protolabla BEY-BIENKO, 1959
