shaped impression at its hase and sides. Wing-pads narrow and elongated, reaching hind margin of third tergite. Body pale green, practically without dark patterns. Spines on fore-, and middle-femora brown. Some pale brown transversal stripes on front femora. Apex of rostrum dark brown. Apex of tibiae and surface of tarsi with a brownish hue. Oval red spot behind middle of upper wing-pads. This species differs from any known nabid larvae by the structure of its head, particular body-colouring and the missing of dark patterns. 2. Dolichonabis nigrovittatus (J. SAHLBERG, 1&78} , 4th instar larva. Construction of body rather similar to that of Dolicho nabis limbatus. Body, however, conspicuously shorter (nigrovittatus: 5,62 mm; limbatus: 6,75 mm). Patterns more definite and decidedly more extended than on limbatus larvae. In addition to the sides of head behind compound eyes, sides In front of eyes also black; characteristic patterns on vertex more extended and more definite. Lower surface of head yellowish. Base of and joints of antennae brown and middle of first joint somewhat lighter in colour. Ratio of antennái-joint s 100 : 17O : I56 : :.20. Ratio of head-width to smallest distance between compound eves 100 : 64. Lateral stripes on upper and lower parts of pronotum black; light middle stripe on upper part of pronotum scarcely wider than lateral black ones. Dark stripes running from both angles of scutellum on to wing-pads and sides of abdomen. These stripes almost in touch with connexivum and as wide as light middle band. Narrow, red middle-line running along body from hind quarter of head up to apex of abdomen. Wing-pads reaching end of last tergite. Patterns of ventrum similar to those on dorsum. Pig. 5. The possible origin of the Mongolian nabid fauna. 1= species of Siberian origin, la= species invading from East-Siberia, 2= species invading from Central Asian direction, 3= species of Chinese (Manchurian) origin.
