Budapest The present paper submits the faunistical and phenological data of the Malacodermatid Collection (more than 30.000 specimens), deriving from the Carpathian Basin,in the Natural History Museum. The collection consists at present of 237 species, 3 subspecies, and 104 aberrations of the soft-bodied beetles inhabiting the above area. The first systematical elaboration of the Malacodermatid fauna was given by Z* KASZAB who has worked up the group in 1955 for the serial work Pauna Hungáriáé. In his work, based on the examination of more than 20.000 specimens, he enumerated 257 species, 3 subspecies, and 123 aberrations.
