Colouring of wing-base sometimes quite insignificant, so much, so that same does no come near the triangle, 33-37 mm. flaveolum (L. ) 23 (22) Black ring around the thorax-stigmae are never con­nected with the black middle-band (Pig. 18). The cut in ovipositor broader and n -shaped, without impression (Pig. 22). Young specimens light-yellow, lateral sides of thorax and head whitish-yellow, old ones light-brown, sides of thorax yellow, head whitish-yellow. Pterostigma whitish-yellow, or yel­low. At the base of wings transparent yellow mark which - as a rule - does not reach the triangle but on some specimens same extends over most part of it, sometimes the mark is quite small. 33-42 mm. fonscolombei fonscolombei (SEIYS ï 24 (19) Ovipositor not cut in, or only slightly cut in (striolatum, depressiusculum: Figs. 24-27) or in the case of the excise being very small (sanguine­urn), the ovipositor is spoon-shaped (Pigs. 30­31). 25 (32) Ovipositor not spoon-shaped (Pigs. 33-38). 26 (29) End of ovipositor with shallow sweep (Pigs. 24-27) if - very seldom - not , then same is evenly rounded off, but never tapering off. 27 (28) Yellow line running along the lega. Ovipositor imp­ressed nowhere else but in the middle of it (Pig. 26). The sweep may be of different extent (Pigs. 24-26). Young specimens light-brown, the lateral sides of thorax and the pterostigma yellow, old ones dark-brown, under side of pterostigma yellowish­brown, upper side reddish-brora , sides of thorax soiled-yellow. 40-45 mm. striolatum striolatum (CHARP.)
