rostigma light-brown.lateral thorax-aides yellowishbrown. 31-39 mm. depresslusculusi (SELYS) 12 (11) Ramus externus nearly as long as ramus internum (Pigs. 12-14). 13 (14) Ramu3 externus twice as wide at base than ramus internus (Fig. 12). End of ramus externus truncate vertically. The base of wings transparent yellow marking which - on most specimens - reaches the triangle and often runs up to the nodus. Thorax of young specimens light-brown,lateral sides of it yellow, abdomen reddish-brown, pterostigma yellow. Old males fiery-red, under side of pterostigma and thorax reap, reddish-brown, upper side of pterostigma yellow. 34-39 mm. flaveolum (L. ) 14 (13) Both ramus internus and externus of same width at base . 15 (16) End of ramus externus not truncate (Pig. 13). Prime colour of body black. Legs entirely black with the exeption of the coxae and trochanters. On the lateral side of thorax and on abdomen of young specimens yellow marks, the pterostigma black with yellowish margin. Abdomen and pterostigma of old specimens entirely black, the yellowish colouring grew grey. Wings untinged. 31-34 mm. danae (SULZ. ) 16 (15) End of ramus externus truncate (as shown on Pig.14) and not evenly narrowing. Prime colour of body and colouring of pterostigma not black. Young specimens yellow, pterostigma almost white, back of thorax brown,thorax and pterostigma of old specimens brown, their abdomen brownish-red and a small yellow spot at the base of wings. On the head - between the bases of antennae and under same along the eyes - black stripes, the latter often rather short and narrow, scarcely visible. 38-44 mm. vulgatum (L.)
