Legs entirely black, excepting the lower part of front femorae which are light-coloured. 30-36 mm. pedemontanum pedemontanum (ALLIONI) (2) '.Vings without brown bands but with transparent yel­lowish colouring at the most around the base of the wings or on their nodus. (7) The sides of ramus internus almost parallel.narrowing past the second third or half of ita length. Ramus externus and internus respectively of same width at their base (Pigs. 9-10), ramus internus slightly longer. (6) Legs entirely black, with light colouring on the coxae and trochanters only. Ramus internus twice as long as its width (Pig.10). Broad stripe under the base of the antennae ,along the eyes reaching alightly beyond the middle of front. Thorax of the young specimens yellow, their abdomen light-brown, pteros­tigma greyish-yellow. The old males blood-red, pte­rostigma blackish-brown.Three stripes on the thorax­sides (like Pig. 19).
