A Magyar Tudományos Akadémia Zoológiai Bizottsága,a Magyar Biológiai Társaság Állattani Szakosztálya, a Magyar Karszt és Barlangkutató Társulat, valamint az Eötvös Lóránd Tudomány Egyetem Állatrendszertani Intézete nevében üdvözlöm a jubiláló Magyar Rovartani Társaságot. Bél évszázad mult el a Társaság megszületése óta és nyugodtan elmondhatjuk, hogy ez nem telt el eredmények nélkül. Mint a magyar zoológiai kutatások egyik felelőse, meg kell állapitanom, hogy a Társaság hazánk zoológiai műveltségének kialakitásában és az állattani kutatások nivójának mindig korszerű nivóra való emelésében tevékeny és fontos szerepet játszott. Mind egyéni összetételénél, mind pedig, összességénél fogva sikerült a magyar rovartant olyan minő°sgüvé formálni, hogy nemzetközi tekintélyre tett szert.
