Sxabó Stat* Institut* of Hygiene, Budapest This new species was collected by Prof. Dr. J i _Balogh on 19. V. 1956 under an Ulmus sp. at eealevel at Aladja. This interesting genus is new for the palaearctic region. The holotype /1 ç/ is preserved In my private collection in Budapest, Hungary. Misepyris ulmi sp. n. £ Black. Antennae, except proximal 2/3 of scape, reddish­yellow. Legs reddish-yellow, femora dusky-brown. Wings slightly fumose. Head broader than thorax, longer than praeecutum, me­soscutum and scutellura together, fine and densely punctured. Eyes haired, one and a half times as short as hind part of head, about three and a half times as long as cheeks. Prons with a shallow groove from the antennái socklets running to middle of frons. Ocelli forming a triangle, standing far from eyes, hind ones almost touching hind margin of head, apart from hind margin of head by twice its diameter.
