Genus Anopedlaa Foerster 1856. Head transverse. Ocelli forming a triangle, standing as far from eyemargina as from each other. Eyes bare. Antennae ten-jointed in both sexes. Thorex depressed from above, scutellum, meeoscutum, propodeum equal In higth, mesoecutum separated from ecutellum by a deep /on both ends dilated/ furrow. Scutellum laterally with a long ridge.Propodeum with two longitudinal, parallel, well visible ridgee in middle. Wings without veins. Abdomen with six visible segments, second one longest and broadest.Legs slender.tibiae distally with a single spur. Spurs of fore tibiae long and curved. Tarsi of legs: 5,5,5. Generotype: Anopedias lacustrls Kief fer S o/nov/. Differs from the neareet genus Platygaster Latr. by the form of the thorax, by the flattened scutellum and mesoBCUtum, furthermore by the sculpture of the scutellum. Occiput with some fine transversal lines, visible in middle, eyes densely, finely punctured behind. Frons around ocelli punctered, otherwise smooth and shining. Temples punctered. Scape longer than five following joints together, about eight times as long as broad, a bit arched, proximally thinner than distally, weakly excised at tip, covered with short erected hairs. Pedicel long, pyriform, a bit more than three times as long as wide, longer than two following joints combined.
