a nőstény, csak kisebb, 8-12 mm. Hazája Közép- és Dél-Európa. Mindenütt közönséges. Sopronban is gyakran gyűjthető.Korán repülő faj.Már május végén megjelenik és szeptember közepéig rajzik és az ernyős virágzatu növényeket látogatja. Gazdáit közelebbről nem ismerjük. A Gasteruptionidákat inkább kártékony mint hasznos fajoknak lehet mondani, amennyiben a hasznos fullánkos Hymenoptera álcák pusztítói. De mivel faji és egyedi számuk kevés, ezért kíméljük ezekt a szép darazsakat. Gasteruptioníd Wasps from Sopron and its Environs. By Dr. 1. Györfi, Sopron. The family Gasteruptionidae with its 10 genera and about 300 species is represented by one genus and 26 specieB in Hungary. I have collected 16 species of these interesting wasps around Sopron up to now. The wasps are parasitic on the aculeate Hymenoptera. I have bred them frequently also from the galls of gall-making wasps, but they are not their hosts, as many believe, but live on t-e smaller aouleate Hymenopterans infiltrated into the galls. , etc., in July and August. The female has a very long ovipositor, which she carries perpendicularly. This characteristic gave these wasps their Hungarian nickname Spear bearing wasps".
