Extant handle painted all over. Decoration: Banding on rim. LH IIIC Early. Cf. Korakou, RUTTER 1974, 167, nos. 26-27, Fig. 49:3, 4; 186, no. 41, Fig. 65:3; ASCSA Sherd Collection M6; Mycenae, FRENCH 1969, 75, 85, Fig. 11:3 (Transitional LH IIIB2 - IIIC Early); Tiryns, PODZUWEIT 1981, 207, Fig. 57.7 (LH III С Early). Comments: In Korakou the medium band deep bowls are particularly characteristic of phase 3 and 2 (LH IIIC Early) of House P and Trench P, but not occur in phase 4 (Transitional LH IIIB2 - IIIC Early), RUTTER 1974, 279, 308, Fig. 1 10. The pure linear decoration and the monochrome coating of the interior of the open shapes is a characteristic feature of the LH IIIC Early period. Medium band deep bowls with monochrome painted interior first appeared in Transitional LH IIIB2 - IIIC Early period assemblages. In Korakou, however, their presence is stratigraphically only attested from LH IIIC Early, only linear deep bowls with rim line and monochrome interior are present from phase 4 onwards, RUTTER 1974, 279, 307, 308, Fig. 110, 540.
