94 JUDIT LEBEGYEV 37. (Fig. 12b) Unpainted kylix base most probably from FS 267 cariiiated kylix. From Myce­nae. D. base 5.9; H. 6.2 cm. Fine fabric with occasional small white grits. Fracture: core 10YR 7/4 very pale brown, near surface: 2.5Y 7/3 pale yellow; surface on interior and exterior: 2.5Y 7/3 pale yellow. On the flat base the swirl, where the pot was cut off the wheel can be clearly seen. LH HIB. The fragment represents K. A. Wardle's 'rough' quality kvlix, which is mostly confined to the short-stemmed carinated kylikes with liases which show the swirl where the pot was cut off the wheel, WARDLE 1969, 285. Cf. Fracture: core 5YR 6/1 grey, near surfaces 5YR 6/4 light reddish brown; slipped on interior and exterior 10YR 7/4 very pale brown, burnished; in places fugitive lustrous 10YR 2/2 very dark brown paint. Fracture: core 5YR 7/2 pinkish grey, near surfaces 5YR 7/3 pink; slipped and burnished on inter­ior and exterior 1OYR 7/4 very pale brown; lustrous 2.5YR 4/6 - 4/8 red paint. Decoration: panelled composition, FM 75 triglyph with horizontal zigzags between vertical lines, with FM 74 half-rosettes on either side. LH HIB. Cf. M DP 94, Fig. 114.39. Fine fabric with very small occasional white grits. Fracture: core 2.5Y 6/1 grey, near surfaces 10YR 7/4 very pale brown; interior surface 10YR 7/4 very pale brown; exterior slipped 10YR 7/4 - 6/4 very pale brown to light yellowish brown burnis­hed to medium high lustre; lustrous 5YR 3/1 - 5YR 4/6 very dark grey to yellowish red paint. Decoration: Two groups of two horizontal linear bands. LH IIIA2 - IIIB. 41. (Fig. 13b ) Body fragment from closed shape with handle join. FS 85, 86 rounded alabast­ron. Korakou. H. 5.5; W. 6 cm. Fine fabric with occasional small w hite grits. Fracture: core 10YR 7/4 very pale brown, near surfaces 2.5YR 7/6 - 6/6 light red; interior surface 7.5YR 7/4 pink; ex­terior slipped 1 OYR 7/4 very pale brown; lustrous 2.5YR 5/8 - 4/8 red paint. LH IIIB - IIIC Early. 42. (Fig. 13c) Strap handle fragment from a FS 9 krater(?) painted all over its surface. Kora­kou. H. 6.8, handle W. 2.5; Th. 0.8 cm. Fine fabric with almost no inclusions. Fracture 5YR 5/6 yellowish red; semi-lustrous 10R 4/6 red paint. LH III В.
