Oravecz Hargita: Tipológiai és használatinyom-vizsgálatok újkőkori csiszolt kőszerszámokon. (Tápé-Lebő, Alsóhalom kőszerszámainak újraértékelése)

TIPOLÓGIAI ÉS HASZNÁLATI NYOM-VIZSGÁLATOK ÚJKŐKOR] CSISZOLT KÖSZERSZÁMOKON 49 for cutting, carving, grooving that is working on wood, carpentry, constructions, i. e., large scale operations. In another function they symbolised rank within the community as ritual objects, symbolical, ornamental arms and finally as secondary tools. Unfortunately the tool kit of Lebő denote only part of the total polished tool artefact set, mainly the collected wood-working tools left, discarded or utilised by their users. Large tools necessary for felling woods, clearing forests (e. g. adzes, wedges, chopping axes), hammers and various types of chisels and household stone utensils (grinders, polishers etc.) and various so far unknown function pieces are missing from this assemblage. Taking into consideration all these, both the archaeological (typological and traceological) and the petrological study (identification of the raw material) should be continued because they give information not only on the Neolithic tool kit it seid but also the related activities (constructions, carpentry, raw material procurement) as well.
