40 VIOLA T. DOBOSI-IS ÏV ÀN GAT T ER Description of rock crystal items: Inv. nr. 89/10. Unworked amorphous fragment. Size: 16x 10 mm. Sample 7.: clear, elongated with uneven surface. In the medial part of the sample, fluid inclusions are found in an oriented stripe. I. Gaseous phase inclusions (90-95 vol. %), size: 20-30 mm, mainly rounded forms, generally with dark outlines II. 70-85 vol. % gaseous phase inclusions, size 20-40 mm, elongated form, often associated with type I. or directly growing out from them. III. inclusions containing 5-8 vol. % gaseous phase, generally elongated, situated on the margins of types I and II, respectively, (size 10-20 mm) or scattered in the matrix. The fluid inclusions are probably of H„0-C0, type, while group III. is of H„0 type. fíitóc Find circumstances: In the depth of 30-40 cms, from the surface of the loess, within cultural layer. The piece was found in the 6th rectangle of the 8-9-10 sondage, surrounded by weak settlement features. The high position of the cultural layer can be explained by erosional processes contemporary with the formation of the Diós-trough. Description of rock crystal items: Inv. nr. Pb 90/59. High pointed flake with steep triangular section, straight burin edge, scarce retouch. Size: 20x06 mm. Sample 8: clear, with cleavage traces on the surface. In a belt-like stripe within this piece a lot of fluid inclusions were observed. I. Gaseous phase inclusions ( 70-80 vol. %), size 20-30 fim, generally with dark contour II. 30-50 vol. % gaseous phase inclusions, size 20-30 /лт, elongated form, often associated with type I or growing out of them Hi. Inclusions containing 3-4 vol.% gaseous phase on the margins ofl-II, size 10-20 /Ш1, or randomly distributed in the matrix Photo: 5, 6, 7 Bánom Find circumstances: This site is the last member of the row of settlements on the loess terrace margin starting from Basaharc, lying nearest to the village. The 1995 excavation season was particularly fortunate in spite of the short time and the unfavourable forebodings, because two cultural layers and several rock crystal objects were found. From the upper layer, only a few square ms of undisturbed habitation surface could be opened. The scattered objects of this disturbed layers led us to find the settlement. From the upper cultural layer, five and from the lower layer separated by 30 cms of sterile loess one rock crystal fragment came to light. Artefacts from the upper cultural layer: Inv. nr. Pb 96/46 trapezoid Hat flake with large, thinned bulb, unretouched, with borer tip. Size 30-19 mm. Sample 9.: clear, slightly rhomboidal. Optical investigations indicate the slight traces of scars in the medial parts under the peak. These are scale form, secondary inclusions, a few /лт in dimension, their filling matter could not be identified. Inv. nr: Pb 96/71 Rectangular flake, with symmetrical trapeze cross section, strong bulb, unretouched. Size: 22x22 mm. Sample 10. clear, rectangular tool, on the surface, slight traces of cleavage. I. In the middle of the object, typical two-phase inclusions can be observed connected to the plate-like surface. They are 5-10 fim in dimension, isometrical or
