7 The Gerecse flint is ash grey — dark grey, with shell-like or splintery breaking. The Carpathian radiolarite is dark liver brown, sometimes with a lighter yellowish colouring, displaying the characteristic greenisch marble patterns, it has silky light, it is homogenous, good quality. The erratic flint is grey, silky, compact white — blueish white patinated, often containing macroscopic fossilia remains. Though according to J.K.
