Vörös István: A Biharugra-Földvárhalom bronzkori telep állatcsontleletei

ANIMAL BONES AT BIHARUGRA 91 found on indentical bones of different animals point to the fact that the dismemberment of animals was executed with an identical method. Examining the vertical accumulation of the animal bone remains we observe the fact that during the filling in of the excavated settlement section the frequency of the three most important useful animals did not change and the ditribution of their bone remains according to body regions remained in the different strata homogenous. In the second period of the filling in of the settlement (Level B) the working up of animal became more intensive. By the knowledge of oecological demands of non-domesticated animals we can state thet in the environments of the settlement there must have been a closed forest and a water table. The composition of fauna of the Biharugra-Földvárhalom settlement (Table 3) corresponds, as for its volume, to the composition of Bronze Age settlement faunas in Hungary.
