István Ecsedy: Két neolitikus idol Kelet-Magyarországról
44 I. ECSEDY Fig. 2. Neolithic idol. Environments of Körösladány 2. ábra. Újkőkori idol. Körösladány környéke the solid, flat lower part of the statuette. There we have to count with the possibility of the representation of a full-length dress, covering the insteps as well. 7 We find the T-pattern over the dress also on the Körösladány specimen, the design discernible on the upper part of the neck is presumably the remain of a characteristic motif, observable on the face of the Szeghalom idol and other works of the Linear pottery. 8 A similar motif appears on the facial part of the statuette, found at the site Tiszadada-Kálvinháza, which, though of a much better execution as the above mentioned ones, is also to be considered as a near analogy. l J Its decoration, indicating the dress, encircles the slightly marked breasts in an identical way as on the Szeghalom idol, but it is related to the above mentioned ones also as for its proportions. The find is classed among the Bükk culture. 1 0 Dealing with the modelling of the idol Kalicz mentions the role of a local tradition. 1 1 To the same group as the above ones are to be counted the fragments 7 Korek, J., op. cit.
