16 I. ECSEDY Fig. 6. general types of Vinca C; its parallel, identical to the smallest details, was found in a depth of 2,5 m. 1 8 8. Fragment of an idol. Inv. no.: 1932:26.36. (Figs. 5:4a —c.) The upper part of a human figurine, represented in all possibility in a seated position. Face and hair-do are schematically elaborated, the eyes indicated by ovals incised rather superficially. The upper arms are horizontal, the left hand is close to the belt, on the left wrist the representation of a thick bracelet is to be traced. On ground of the fracture to be seen on the right side of the head we may suppose that the 1 8 Vasic , M., op. cit. III. Pl. XCIX. 470. (Its numerous analogies are characteristic for section С —D of Vinca.)
