Mégis úgy véljük, hogy trauma esetén az a leg­jobb kimenetel, ha a saját fogak megtarthatók marad­nak a sikeres kezelés eredményeként. Az elsősegélyt nyújtó személy képzettsége ebből a szempontból ki­emelkedően fontos, hisz a probléma súlyosságának időbeli felismerése, vagy akár olyan egyszerű dolgok, mint a kiesett fog folyadékba helyezése nagyban segí­ti munkánkat. Az ellátásban járatlanok között széles körben foly­tatott felvilágosító munkát célszerű lenne minél előbb elkezdeni, és akár a balesetek megelőzésére szolgáló védőeszközök bemutatására és használatának népsze­rűsítésére is kiterjeszteni.
