The prosthetic treatment of defective sets of teeth has to be started with restoration of the health condition of the periodontium. The successful realization thereof may be a determining factor. The impairing effect of the denture depends thereon. Care conditions are fixed when increased attention have already been payed to the biological effect of the denture on the tissues of the mouth.

Im Falle eines Zahnmangels muß die prothetische Behandlung mit der Wiederherstellung des gesundheitlichen Zustands des Paradentiums eingeleitet werden. Der Erfolg dieser Maßnahme spielt eine wesentliche Rolle in der Vorbeugung der schädigenden Wirkung des Zahnersatzes. Insofern die die Mundgewebe berteffende biologische Wirkung der Prothese bereits bei der prothetischen Behandlung berücksichtigt wird, gestalten sich die Betreuungsbedingungen vorteilhaft.
