Az ismertetett esetben a mandibula alaki eltérésének korrekciójára a mandibula test sagittalis osteotomiáját tartottuk a legoptimálisabbnak. E műtéti eljárásra vonatkozó leírást a hazai irodalomban nem találtunk, ezért ismertettük részletesen a műtéti technikát. Az eljárást lehetővé teszi a mandibula test sagittalis irányú növelését anélkül, hogy csontbeültetést kellene alkalmazni. Összehasonlítva a hasonló célt szolgáló Obwegestr —Dal Pont vagy a ramus ,,C” osteotomia műtéttel, a mandibula testen végzett műtét kivitelezése egyszerűbb (kisebb a műtéti rizikó). Teljes alsó foghiány esetén, vagy amikor csupán a frontfogak vannak meg, a mandibula alaki eltéréseinek sebészi korrekciójában — megfelelő indikáció esetén — sikeresen alkalmazható műtéti eljárásnak tartjuk a mandibula test sagittalis hasítását.

И. Беги, А. Ф о д о p: Хирургическая коррекция прогнации, сочетанной с микрогенией. (Саггитальное рассечение тела нижней челюсти)

Вначале уничтожались явления прогнации, затем восстанавливался верхний ряд зубов методом фиксированного протезирования. После этого следовало операционное удлинение тела нижней челюсти саггитальной остеотомией.

First the prognathy was treated and the upper dental arch was rehabilitated with a fixed bridge. Than the mandible was lengthened by a saggital corpus osteotomy.

Vor allen wurde die Prognathie behoben und das obere Gebiss mit fixiertem Ersatz widerhergesteilt. Dann folgte mit einem chirurgischen Eingriff die Verlängerung des Mandibulakörpers, die mit der saggitalen Osteotomie des Corpus durchgeführt wurde.
