Автор наблюдал 226 случаев, из которых в 126 случаях коллапс наступил во время операции и 100 во время экстракции зуба. У 3,2% лиц, которым была проведена операция имел место коллапс. В патомеханизме коллапса, наступающего в зубоврачебном кресле в первую очередь роль играет центральная нервная система, но существенным фактором является также расширение сосудов склетной мускулатуры.
