8. oldal 2000. április érdekes volt Somogyi Imre 1925—tői 1927-ig tartó amerikai tanulmány­­útjának, és ezen belül Los Angeles-i vendégszolgálatának ismertetése. Váro­sunkban ekkor kétéves volt csupán a magyar baptista misszió, amin nagyot lendített Somogyi testvér evangélizá­­ciós szolgálata. Győri testvér részle­tesen ismertette az evangélizáció előké­szítését, lefolyását, és az akkori magyar sajtóban publikált reakciókat az evangé­­lizátor szolgálatairól. Mindenek végén meghatott volt a búcsúvétel. „Ha testben válni kell, Az mélyen fáj nekünk... ” Köszönjük a Győri házaspárnak, hogy vállalták a hosszú utat és a szolgálatokat, de köszönjük a Rákospalotai Baptista Gyülekezetnek is, hogy elengedték a lelkipásztor-házaspárt erre az óhazától oly messze eső “végvári” szolgálatra! Márciusi számunkban ezzel a címmel olvashattunk arról, hogy a házassági elválások száma a baptisták - és általában az evangéliumi hívők között nagyon magas, magasabb, mint a nem keresztyé­nek között! In Florida, this month was beautiful. The temperatures were in the high seventies or low eighties. The frees were shedding their fruits and new growth was seen in all of our plant life.
