Amerikai magyar testvéreinkre az Úr áldását kívánja, Nagy István * * * ADOMÁNYOK AZ IRODALMI ALAPRA 1976 JANUÁRBAN Mrs. B. M. Tóth Sask., Canada $40.00 Helen E. It was a month when many of our tourists arrived to get away from the blustery winds and snow of the northern winters. Our new arrivals were Mrs. Vangor and Mrs. Soter (Bridgeport, Conn.), Mrs. Bagdy (Vermont), Dr. and Mrs. Vezsenyi (Cobleskill, N. N. Y.), Mr. and Mrs. Gyarmati (New Brunswick, N. J.), Mrs. Banrevi (Hamilton, Canada), Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kristoff (Allen Park, Michigan), Mr. and Mrs. G. Bartha (Cleveland, Ohio), and Mary Slack (Newburgh, N. Y.). Most of our guests are or were members of our Hungarian Baptist Churches. What a blessing it is to meet them each year and to share our facilities with them. It is almost like another convention of oldtimers coming to share their beloved Hungarian heritage with one another. Our visitors also included Mr. and Mrs. Burzuk and family and Mr. Podobni from our Toronto church. It was a real joy to fellowship with them also for approximately one week. Our pastor, Dr. Biro, preaches to an overflowing crowd each Sunday morning during these months. Please continue to pray for our mission as God’s word is proclaimed in both the spoken word and deed. During the months of December and January God’s people have opened their hearts for this Home and have contributed magnificently for our critical projects and needs. For this, we can only thank you, and may God bless each giver with the same measure of joy in which we accept and use the gift. We prayfully sought God’s help and often done things on faith, knowing that His promises are sound and that He will not forsake us. Malachi 3:10 is just as true today as it was when it was written, and prove me now herewith, said the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven, and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it”. We know this is true, because we have been a witness to it. Many of our friends have given of their substance other than money. Such items as bed linens, towels and bibs were received from Rev. and Mrs. Gerzsenyi and Mr. and Mrs. Geza Bartha (Cleveland). Our area ladies also give lavishly of their time and energy by sewing for us and making noodles. What a joy it is to watch them work in concert for a mission that they love. We can do naught but praise God for all people who help us in so many ways. One of our dreams became a reality this month. For years we had dreamed of planting palm trees on either side of the road as we enter our premises. With monies specifically given by many of our friends, we were able to accomplish this. Our approach now looks like the entryway of a park. We are extremely of it, and we wish to thank all of you contributed to make this possible. Preparations are presently in full swing to help host two important meetings in February. One is the meeting of the Missions Committee of the Hungarian Baptist Union and the other is the meeting of the Board of Directors of your Home. Both groups have extremely important matters to resolve, and we will try to make them as comfortable as
