13 akár Magyarországban, akár Amerikában az evangélium szolgálatában eltöltött. 25 Ha a nyugdíjintézet vagy a lelkészi segélyegylet egy új tag felvétele miatt tetemesen terheltetnék, előző szolgálataira való tekintettel, magától értetődik, hogy az az egyház, melynél tovább szolgált, az anyagilag méltányos igényeket a másik részére teljesíteni fogja. 4. A szerződő egyházak a másik egyház lelkészképző-intézeteiben szerzett oklevelek érvényességét olyanul ismerik el, mint a tulajdon theologiai főiskoláin szerzett diplomákét. 5. Mindkét egyház lelkészképző-intézetei maguk határozzák meg azon szemeszterek minimumát, melyeket a tanulónak el kell töltenie, hogy képesítessék. E korlátozástól eltekintve a hallgatók mindkét egyház lelkészképző-intézeteiben azonos bizalommal állíttatnak munkába. 6. A lelkek megszakítás nélkül való gondozása és az egyház anyagának megóvása érdekében mindkét ország szerződő felei meg fognak állapodni a kiés bevándorlás kimutatásának rendszeres Vezetésére nézve. A kölcsönös támogatás érdekében az így szerzett adatokat mindkét fél pontosan ki fogja egymással cserélni. » ^ Agreement between the United Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hungary , party of the first part , and the United Lutheran Church in America , party of the second part, the former being represented by the Rt. Rev . Bishop Alex , Raffay , DD. the latter by the Rev. Prof, fohn Alfred Morehead, D. D., Chairman of the European Commission of the National Lutheran Council of America, prepared through Conferences in the months of June and September , 1920. Inasmuch as the United Lutheran Church of Hungary and the United Lutheran Church in America have attained unity of faith through the common acceptance of the Holy Scriptures and the historic confessions of the Lutheran Church, serving and preaching the same gospel of Christ for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom, they do agree to cooperate in brotherly love for the accomplishment of the following purposes: 1. Each body will observe with warm interest the plans and work of the other and, to forward this end, approves of the exchange of official representatives as frequently as practicable. 2. The Church of each country will accept for the service of its congregations regular pastors from the other, under» the usual regulations for receiving them in the synods or districts concerned, if they are provided with satisfactory letters of recommendation from the proper authority of the body from which they come. 3. In estimating the amount of pension or stipend to which a pastor is entitled, the years of service devoted to the regular ministry of the gospel in the related bodies of both Hungary and America shall be included. Should a Pension Association or Pastors' Fund Society find the admittance of a new member a burden because of the extent of his previous service, it is understood that reasonable special financial compensation shall be made by the body in which the greatest term of service has been rendered. 4. The contracting church of each country shall recognize the validity of the diplomas of the seminaries of the other in the same sense as that of the diplomas of its own schools of theology. 5. The seminaries of the church . of each country may fix the minimum number of semesters during which students must attend its own institutions fof graduation. Excepting this limitation, students shall receive equal credit for work done in the seminaries of both Churches. 6. In the interest of the uninterrupted care of souls and the conservation of the material of the Church, these contracting bodies of both countries shall adopt measures for the systematic preparation of statistics of emigration and immigration. Information thus secured shall be promptly exchanged for the mutual aid of the two parties concerned. Az egyetemes közgyűlés a szerződést elfogadja, azt megerősíti és a kérdést végleges szabályozás végett a zsinat elé terjeszti, egyúttal utasítja a nyugdíj intézeti bizottságot, hogy a nyugdíjszabályzatot megfelelően dolgozza át; a szerződés végrehajtása körüli teendőkkel és általában a külfölddel való összeköttetés fenntartásával Dr. Raffay Sándor püspököt bízza meg. 26. (Sz.) Tárgyaltatik a bányai egyházkerület által felterjesztett javaslat a vasárnap megünneplése tárgyában.
