II. CRAFT WORKS OF ART Endre Kap, 79. The Palkovics Banch. The bench was made in honour and to the me­mory of Károly Palkovics former deputy-lieutenant and lord mayor, of artificial stone. It was put up on the Nagy-Duna (the Greater Danube)-side of the Primate's Isle in the mid 1930's. It is 170cm high, and jm's wide and 70 cm deep. 80. Wrought-Iron Gate. It is the carriage entrance of the so called House of the Three Saracens, built in 1955 at the corner of Rákóczi Square and Kossuth Street. The name of the house reminds that it was built at the place of rhe former Three Saracen's Inn. The gate is the work of Károly Beiber (1893-1991). 81. Fountain. It was a gift from the County Council, and was pur up in Béke (Peace) Square in 1973. Ic is 3 metres high. 82. Wheel Well. Ic is ro be found beside the so-called Dark Gate in St Stephen Square. It was taken to Esztergom form the country mansion in Bikol-Puszta near Süttő, by the mediation of the architect Konstantin Vukov. 83. Drinking Well. On the right side of Széchenyi Square it was put up in 1983. It is che work of Dezső Mészáros (1923- ). 84. The so-called Elephant Well. This well was made by the ceramist Vero­nika Szabadi (1933-2000), and stands in rhe courtyard of the Town Hall. It was put up in 1982. Its postamenr is 110cm high, and che well itself is of 80cm. 85. Filemon and Baucis. This work of art also stands in che courtyard of rhe Town Hall. It was made by Sándor Jószai. It is 60cm high, and was put up in the 8o's. 86. Well. It stands in the lane beside Bástya Supermarket. It was put up in 1983, and is also the work of Sándor Jószai. 87. Wrought-iron Triumphal Gate. It is practically the entrance of the Primate's Cellar Inn, in St. Stephen Square. It was made by György Horváth (1939- ), in 1986. 88. Well. It stands beside the Basilica in St. Stephen Square. The 170 cm 150 high stone composition of Tamás Asszonyi (1942- ) was put up there in 1987.
