34. The memorial of John Sobieski. The work of Jenő Körmendi Firm (1886-1959). It i s a life-size brozne relief of the Polish kingjohn Sobieski. The round relief is 50 cm in diameter. The inscription says: To the memory of the 250th anniversary of the reoccupation of the city. Erected by the county, the city and the Plosh-Hungaria Union. 14th September, 1933. On the top of the memorial there used to be a stone eagle. It was broken off and lost. It was replaced with a new, 1 m high bronze one, made by János Nagy, a Hungarian sculptor, livig in Slovakia. The total height of the memorial is 3 metres. 35. The Bust of Bishop Ottokár Prohászka. It is 60 cm high, made of bronze, and was put up in 1934. Originally ir was in front of the seminary. It is the work of the sculptor József Damkó (1872-1955). It will be replaced to its original place from the garden of the Primate's Palace in the near future. The postament of the statue is 120 cm high. 36. The Statue of Bálint Balassa. Bálint Balassa was a considerable figure of both Hungarian history and literature. He was a great soldier and also one of the most prominent poets of his time. His 2,5 m high statue was erected at the feet of the Palace Hill, in 1938, at the supposed place were he suffered his deadly injury. The statue stands on a 2,5 m high postament, and was made by András F. Dózsa (1902-1982). In the upper left corner of the postament there is the coat of arms of the Balassa-family. 37. The so-called »Sower« group of statues. The group originally formed part of the István Tisza memorial, in Budapest. The bronze side-figures were brought to Esztergom, after the memorial was cut into several parts in 1948, and was placed at the corner of the Sugár street and Baross street. It received a 1.6 m high fundament. The composition is the work of György Zala (18583937), and its total height is 3,5 metres. 38. The statue of Holy Mary. The life-size stone statue is of an unknown author. It was erected in 1921 at the feet of the Vaskapu-Hill, to the memory of the end of the Rumanian invasion. It has a 120 cm postament. 39. The statue of Mother and Child. The statue was made by Kornél Holló (1893-1969). It stands in the park of St Stephen's Bathe. It is a 2,2 m high composition made of stone, from the 1930's. 40. Latin citizen of Esztergom. The statue was made of stone and is to be found on the frontage of the so-called House of the Three Saracens, at the corner of Rákóczi Square and Lajos Kossuth Street.
