DEAR BRETHERN:— The United Lutheran Church in America heartily greets all of its congregations which use the Hungarian language and whose members have originated from among the Hungarian people. Our Church has close bonds with the Church in Hungary, and I am happy that I know personally some of the leaders of that Church. Quite recently I had letters from several of them. We desire that you feel yourselves to be now a true part of the United Lutheran Church, and that you will learn to understand all the work we are doing everyhere. It is your work that is being done by the whole Church. The Church is simpiy the fellowship of all believers where the Gospel is purely taught and the Sacraments are rightly administered according to the Gospel. You are among those believers. A mi Egyházunk szoros kapcsolatban van a Magyarországi Egyházzal és én boldog vagyok, hogy személyesen ismerem ezen Egyháznak több vezérét. Nekünk az az óhajunk, hogy ti most már valóságos része legyetek az Egyetemes Evangélikus Egyháznak s hogy megértsétek mind azt a munkát, amit mi bárhol végzünk. Az Egyház egyszerűen mindazon hivek közössége, ahol az Evangélium a maga tisztaságában tanittatik s a Szentségeket az Evangélium tanítása szerint szolgáltatják ki. Ti ezen hivek közé tartoztok.
