<£ugfi$i) átedion As the new year begins, have you resolved to do some of the same things you resolved you would do in 1989 - but didn't? Are you wondering what this new year holds for you? Most of us are. And most of us are atl&ast'a little impatient tó go on with lif e, to become what we really "ought" to be? It is quite obvious, that what we are now is not what God made us to be! When man fell is Paradise, his fate was sealed for a long time to come. Man has turned away from his Lord and so, with his back turned to Him, went his erring ways. And to this day, we live our lives with our backs turned to Him* who made Heaven and earth, Who is waiting for His prodigal children to come home, for His love to pour on all His creation. What "ought" we to be? We really should be God's faithful, devoted, obedient servants. If we accept Jesus Cferist as our personal Saviour, then we receive the power to become the children of God. So, we really should do just that! Accept Him into our hearts, devote our lives to Him, spread the good news to those, who don’t know them, talk about the wonders the Lord opens to all, who trust Him. Go and tell! If we do, then will we become what God really meant us to be: His Children. This is His plan for us, this is what our aim should be. So, as we rush towards this new year, as we make our new plans and resolutions, - let us just ask the Lord: "What do You want me to do? How can I best serve You? How can I best serve my fellow men?" No doubt He will let you know His will for 1990 and if you but follow Him with obedience and zeal, your new year will be a blessed and happy one. May God grant this to us all! Amen. May every day of this New Year From January to December, Bring you, as you journey on, Something lovely to remember! 14. Egyházi ÉrtesitS 1990 Január hó
