The miracle-books are a group of hand-written or printed compositions which comprehend some miracula attributed to the saints

' or to the Virgin Mary's mediation. These miracula are the most striking characteristics of the works because they also comprehend other kinds of texts of devotional literature. There are various forms and categories of miracle-boob developed according to the place and the historical period. These books are an interesting group of sources because of their literary formation and also because of their several contacts with congenial publications. 153
