Although the company sold its Balatonszabadi resort centre which was in a very poor state of repair, it continues to provide support for organized holidays for the workers. The company provides a subsidized dental service, there is a shop on the company premises with a wide range of goods, and the kitchen offers two menus. The workers can spend their breaks in a new rest room, and the company looks after the cleaning of their workclothes. In addition the factory organizes an annual “Philip Morris Day” where employees and their families are welcomed for a whole-day programme. The company has topped up the pension fund capital four-fold, from the proceeds of which the company regularly organizes meetings and programmes for its pensioners, and provides regular financial assistance for low-income pensioners. The factory supports - through the Eger-PM Fund established in 1992 - social, cultural, artistic and educational institutions based in the city and surroundings, plus the initiatives of groups and individuals. In total HUF 45 million has so far been disbursed for these purposes. However, the most spectacular successes have been recorded on the market. Even after the closure of the Trust and during the time of Company Council management, the central control of raw materials and the allocation of the finished product remained in the hands of DOHÉSZK, later transformed into the Hungarotabak company.
