- 9 VAJON IMRE A HO SI MINH TANÁRKÉPZŐ FŐISKOLA ÁLLATTANI TANSZÉKE GYŰJTEMÉNYÉBEN LÉVŐ KITÖMÖTT WDARAK FAJLISTÁJA ABSTRACT: (A List of Species of Birds Found in the Collection of the Zoological Department of Ho Si Minh Teachers' Training College) The originál Teacher Training College, later to be renamed Ho Si Minh Teacher Training College, moved to Eger, into the building of the "Lyceum", in the autumn of 1949. It was then that the Zoology Department of the college got the little stock of the museum of the former training-college, consisting mostly of stuffed birds beautifully mounted. During the past three decades or so, we have used the stuffed animals extensively and succesfully in training biology teachers for primary schools. Studying the material we have discovered that the birds were, for the most part, mounted between 1935 and 1939. Unfortunately, the last fifty years have not gone by without leaving their mark on the preparations. The signs of natural wear, unprofessional storing, and other unfortunate circumstances are well marked at the specimens. For this reason I consider it necessary, both from professional and scientific points of view, that the data about the collection should be published. Today, there are 206 stuffed specimens of 134 species of birds available in our department. A főiskola Egerbe költözésekor, vagyis 1949 őszén kapta meg tanszékünk a volt tanítóképző kis múzeumi anyagát, amelyben főleg kitömött madarak volta-k, elég jó állapotban. A tanszék az eltelt idők során folyamatosan nagy gondot fordított az anyag állagának karbantartására, megóvására, és a — szerény lehetőségekhez mérten — fejlesztésére. A gyűjtemény az eltelt több mint három évtized alatt a harmadik helyen nyert kiállításszerű elhelyezést, nagyméretű üvegszekrényekben, illetve azok tetején és környékén.
