(The only African species of an Ind omala у an-Oceanian genus, 'known only from the type locality in the Ruwnezori Mts., at 3150 m alt.) 351. Leskeodon mniifolium (Hornsch.) Bizot comb. nov. Basionym: Hookeria mniifolia Hornsch., Linnaea 15 (1841):141. Syn.: nov.: Distichophyllum mniifolium (Hornsch.) Sim, Trans. R. Soc. S. Afr. 15 (1926):441; Mniadelphus horschuchii C. Muell., Syn. 2 (1850):22; Leskeodon densiretis (Broth.) Broth., Nat. Pfl. fam. 1 (3, 1907) :926; Distichophyllum densirete Broth., Bih. K. Svensk. Vet. Ak. Handl. 21 Afd. 3 (3, 1895):42. The Tanzanian plant is definitely conspecific with the type of L. densiretis (Broth.) Broth, from Brasil. According to the diagnose of H о r n s chu ch there is no specific difference between Hookeria mniifolia Hornsch. and L. densiretis, except the size of cells, being 2 —6 and 6—8IA.
