BÁRDOSNÉ GRESKOVITS ZSUZSANNA A SZŐLŐTERÜLET KIHASZNÁLTSÁGA AZ EGRI BORVIDÉKEN AZ 1980-AS ÉVEK VÉGÉN* ABSTRACr: (Utilization of vineyards in the wine-district of Eger in the late eighties) The dissertation deals with the changes in the area of vineyards in the wine-district of Eger during the past 25 years. Analysing the data given in the charts it can be clearly ascertained that the proportion of vineyards has hardly increased compared to the entire cultivated area, although the most profitable utilization of the region would be wine-growing. The economical reasons for this very slow development can be traced in the lack of interest on the side of wine-growers. The stagnating low prices of grapes and wine, and the rapidly increasing expenses of production make cine-growers hesitating and cultivating uneconomical. In this region other species of plants cannot be grown so prominently. On the whole, changes should be made concerning economy and ownership; and interest should be raised on behalf of estates and smallholders as well. The closing chapter of the dissertation deals with the possible solutions of the malter. I. BEVEZETÉS "Eger a szőlő és a bor városa". A szüreti feliratok igazságtartalma napjainkra erősen csökkent, fényük megkopott, az egri bor világhíre ma már inkább legendáibői él. A nagyüzemi szőlőtermelés ellentmondásai kiéleződtek, a termelői, ágazati és népgazdasági érdekek erősen ütköznek. * A tanulmány kézirata 1990. januárjában kerület leadásra, így az azóta eltelt változásokat természetszerűleg nem közli. 3
