I. TANULMÁNYOK A TÁRSADALOMTUDOMÁNYOK KÖRÉBÖL - Dr. Hekli József: Alekszej Arbuzov pályakezdő évei

THE START OF ALEXANDER ARBUZOV'S LITERARY CAREER BY DR. JOSEPH HEKLI The present study analyses the first period of Alexander Arbuzov's literary career, who is regarded the doyen of contemporary Soviet drama. The young, talented writer entered literary life from the theatrical world, and his propaganda plays were published from the middle of the 1920s. His first original drama, the Class (1930) did not make a hit, and his next plays such as the „Heart" (1932), „Six People in Love" (1934) and „The Long Way" (1935) were not successful dramas with real conflicts, but rather the dramatizations of theses. The last play of his first literary period and at the same time the overture of his new period was Tanya (1938). Through the exciting and varied experiences of the young girl, the dramatist bravely declared that in the midst of great constructions the inner — ethical — emotional characterization of a hero is very important. Many later Arbuzov dramas were based on the theme of the Chekhovite — lyrical Tanya. .230
