24 HUNGÁRIA LLOYD July 1930 Fonciére, Universal Insurance Institute. It is one of the largesl and most respectable insurance undertakings in Hungary. It was established in 1864. Its line of activity embraces áll branches of insurance firc, live: accidents, burglary, guarantee, autó, credit, hail, glass, carriage and valuables. In Hungary the Institute has a very valuable and extensive organisation carried on for decades and besides 30 independant offices, it has many thousands of local branches. The Fonciére is in Chechöslovakia, Jougoslavia and Roumania in the following undertakings interested: ,;Continentale" Assurance Co. Ltd. in Prague; Rosidja—Fonciére Assurance and Reassurance Co. Ltd. in Belgrádé; Fonciére Universal Assurance Co. Ltd. in Cluj. The Fonciére has in Germany in Hambourg and Dresden independent and since decades working expositures. Vast real-properties increase in a high degree the importance of the Fonciére. In Budapest the Institute owns the palace Andrássy-ut 2., the residence-house Sas-utca 18., the tenement-house Sas-Utca 12.; in Vienna the four tory palace on the Sehottenring opposite the Exchange and in Prague t\Vo houses are alsó properties of the Institute. Beside her important position the Fonciére possesses alsó firstrate international husiness and reassurance connections, and enjoys through this on tlie wliole continent a very respectable name.
