Mješovite pak liste, na kojima se dosta inzistira, također su neoperativne. Radi se o tome da su one podložne stalnim promjenama i ako se ažurno ne vode, gube vrijednost. Ukoliko se pak i vode ažurno, postaju nepregledne. Najveću operativnu vrijednost pokazala je do sada tzv. Opća negativna lista, koja zbog svoje univerzalnosti sadrži sve stoje bitno. Summary EVALUATION OF ARCHIVAL MATERIAL Relation between theory and practice In this article are described the most important concepts in relation to appraisal archive value, as like as: notion and term this process, their reasons and purpose, method of work, criteria, and on the end the lists as principal compendium. The concept from literature, the rules of Republic of Croatia and practice are considered in comparison. Basic dilemma is whether weeding or elimination are only two terms or two notions, or probably only one notion, but two terms. A conclusion is formed from the reason for the implementation this procedure. The reason is large quantity of contemporary documentation, what means that the purpose is elimination. Weeding and elimination are two way for implementation this procedure. 62
