UDK 949.713 : 92 ŠEPIĆ Bertoša, Miroslav: VIEWS OF D. ŠEPIĆ CONCERNING THE ADRIATIC IRREDENTA The views of D. Šepić concerning the Adriatic irredenta can be separated .into two significant mainstreams: the examination of the major characteristics of the Italian irredenta and the study of the most representative and the most significant work on the Adriatic irredenta — the book of Angelo Vivanti. Within these border — lines we can no, tice that the work of D. Šepić contains such ideas which will occupy the Yugoslav historiographer's attention only in the recent past as should be the issue due to its significance. With an unmistakable instinct of a lucid historiographer Šepić aims a the very core of the problem, he points ont the mostvital processes and searching for their genesis he produces works full of necessary details, compiled in the way of a ture erudite and prosents us with justly argumented scientific material. His scientific views are the basis for a batter understanding of this problem for further research into the matter but also for a critical reinvestigation of the political relations in Istria and the international views on the problem of Istria and Rijeka in the first half of the 20 th century. UDK 92 ŠEPIĆ : 92 SUPILO Švab, Mladen: THE RESULTS OF D. ŠEPIĆ'S STUDY OF THE WORKS OF FRAN SUPILO Double is the merit of D. Šepić concerning the study of such a historic phenomena as was the and work of Fran Supilo. First of all, Šepić in his many studies uses much of the up — to then unknown archiviste sources. Secondly, Šepić presents us the instructive details and agendas of the yet undiscovered memoranda and letters. Systematic research or just chance finding will include them into the Croatian history of the endof the 20 th century. The author adds yet another dimension to the value of Šepić's works — these are 'characterized by wide and clear views on all international activities in any way connected with the rich political activity of Fran Supilo. For instance, ther tuthor states that only from the works of šepić can one get a true picture of Fran Supilo. Hemaintains that Šepić has scientifically proved new values concer. ding the Yugoslav Committee etc. He states that D.
