12 CALVIN SYNOD HERALD Hungarian Reformed Church of Fairport Harbor, Ohio Sunday School Our Sunday School closing ceremony was held on Sunday, May 22,2016 during the English church service. At that time, five youngsters received Certificates of Attendance and pins. They were: Charles Klemanek (6 yrs), Patricia Klemanek (6 yrs), Jenna Leonard (11 yrs), Reba Shaffer (6 yrs) and Kirkland Shaffer (6 yrs). After the awarding ceremony, a party was held in the church Fellowship Hall on their behalf. We have been fortunate to have numerous visiting youngsters in Sunday School as well. Also honored for their attendance at Sunday School were: Otto Abel, Justin Leonard and Owen Napier. These young people were confirmed last year and during the past year, they have each read scripture, acted as ushers - handing out bulletins, as well as helping with collection at church services. They have also helped out at numerous church projects. We are very grateful for their commitment and dedication to our Lord Jesus Christ and the church. Grace Shupp, Superintendent Confirmation "Confirmation was held on May 1st; Jenna Leonard successfully completed her catechetical studies and was admitted to the Lord's Table as full communicant member. She will continue to help as an aide in the Sunday school." At 11:40 AM: Hear & see a report by two local Hungarian American students on their June, 2016 $1,500 two week birthright trip to Hungary.
