CALVIN SYNOD HERALD 3 we hear which uses the Scripture is only personal prejudice and hatred cloaked in and using Biblical proof-texting. The "rule of thumb" in everything we say, and how we treat others and how we speak to others should always be: "What would Jesus Do?" Would he express hatred or condemnation? The answer is always "NO!". Substandard leadership always results in poor relationships. In our congregations, in our families, our relationships with whom we interact are established by US, by YOU! Is a relationship going bad? The other person is only reacting to your attitude and actions! Let us make a concerted effort to treat each other the way Jesus suggested in Matthew 7:12: "Whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them...", or as Paul phrased the essence of Jesus' message in I Corinthians 13:4-8a: "Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends..." Rt. Rev. Koloman K. On the rest of the afternoons and evenings, we had team challenge, field activities, and workshops. The main programs for the evening that the campers really enjoyed were the Initiation of New Campers and the Talent Show. The campers also really enjoyed the Hungarian Cooking workshop where the participants could taste delicious Hungarian dishes like lecsó and paprikás krumpli. On Wednesday we did our traditional tour and visited the Bethlen Communities in Ligonier. After the delicious lunch we Our camp would not be this blessed and fruitful without the generous and kind help and support of individuals, our Hungarian Reformed churches, and American Hungarian organizations. We are especially thankful for the generous financial support of the William Penn Association. This year a new law, in the State of Pennsylvania, required us to have a background check for all camp counselors and leaders. We are thankful to Rev. Imre A. Bertalan and the Bethlen Communities for their help and assistance in this whole official process. We would like to say a special thank you to the participating churches, counselors, and other individuals for their generous help and donations to make this camp fruitful, blessed, and successful this year, too.
