Béla Póznán 79 Birchwood Drive • Fairfield, CT 06430 Questions may be directed by telephone to 203-259-6392 CONGREGATIONAL and CALVIN SYNOD NEWS FIRST HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH - Los Angeles, CA held a Gala Lunch and Benefit Musical Program on May 16. The program featured Ms. Klári Elekes Rubinstein who led the Crestview Chamber Soloists Orchestra, a youth orchestra that has performed at the Church for four years in a row. Featured orchestra soloists included Jieun Shin on violin and Jisu Shin on piano. The Kodály Chamber Choir, led by Emőke Érseki, also perfonned, as did Church Choir Director Maria Csaba, organists/ pianists Peter Csaba and András Maxim and other very talented individuals. A member of the Consistory and long-time church member, Mr. Zoltán Elekes, spearheaded the organizational efforts for the afternoon. The Congregation and Consistory is grateful to everyone who participated, donated, attended and helped in any way to make the entire afternoon a great success. All of the performers donated their time and talents so that the entire proceeds could benefit the church. HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH, Fairport Harbor, OH held a Sunday School S’ghetti Dinner on May 1. The Sunday School participated during English Worship on May 2. The Congregation Celebrated Mothers’ Day Sunday with a Luncheon that followed Worship. On May 16, the English Worship featured Confirmation. Pentecost Sunday on May 23 was celebrated with two services - Magyar 9 AM and English 10:30 AM - and the Lord’s Supper was served at both. HUNGARIAN REFORMED CHURCH Lorain, OH celebrated Ascension Day on May 13. The English Worship on May 16 featured Confirmation. And Pentecost was celebrated on May 23 with the Lord’s Supper, which was served during both English and Hungarian Worship Services. YOUTH CAMP: A place for strengthening faith in God! The Annual Hungarian Reformed Church Youth Camp will take place JULY 18-24, 2010 at Laurelville Mennonite Church Center, Mount Pleasant, PA. - This year’s camp theme is “The B.I.B.L.E. ~ That’s the Book for Me!
