CALVIN SYNOD HERALD 7 HRC Lorain - Sunday School It has been my pleasure to work with both the students and staff of Sunday School in 2007. The students are enthusiastic and fun, and they are a joy to be around. Our staff is dedicated and has provided a full program for our youth. A big thank you is due to the parents and relatives of our students who bring them to us. Our Sunday School and Staff collected $ 160 through a special mission-giving to supply Bibles and Confirmation materials to a church in Visk, Ukraine. We collected food for families at the holidays, made special cards for our sick and shut-in congregation members for Easter and Christmas, and Christmas caroled at personal homes and nursing homes. The students and staffed performed for Palm Sunday, Sunday School Closing, our 105th Anniversary and put on a great old-fashioned Christmas Pageant, complete with a play and costumes. We also enjoyed fellowship with family and friends of the congregation with a Spaghetti Dinner, lunch after Sunday School closing in June, and sponsored a Rally Day Lunch. The Confirmation Class has provided service to the church through setting tables for special dinners, serving at our 105th Anniversary banquet, and helping in the kitchen for Easter Breakfast and the Thanksgiving Tureen Dinner. We would like to extend an invitation to any children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and neighbors and friends of our congregation to join us. All are welcomed in our house of God.
