CONGREGATIONAL NEWS HRC Fairport Harbor. OH • “The First Sunday Coffee Social”, hosted by the Women’s Fellowship, will take place on September 5. • On September 19, the church will participate in the Fairport Harbor Community Days at Fairport Square. • September 26 is the Women’s Fellowship dinner: Chicken paprikas, dumplings, mixed vegetables, assorted cakes. Reservations must be made by the weekend prior to the dinner. • The “First Sunday Coffee Social”, hosted by the Women’s Fellowship, will take place on October 3. • On October 17, the church will hold their annual Grape Harvest Festival at Painesville Township Hall. UCC Bridgeport. CT • Rally Day and Church-wide Picnic will be held on September 12. Installation of the Sunday School Teachers and Grandparents Day will also be celebrated that day. • On September 18, the congregation will hold their Fall Flea Market from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. • 100th Anniversary Event: Our service on September 26 will include a musical presentation and hymn sing-along. • UCC Bridgeport will host the Fall Meeting of the Eastern Classis on Saturday, October 16, at 10 AM. • 100th Anniversary Event: On Sunday, October 24, there will Walking Tours of our property at 11:00 AM and 1:30 PM, taking a look at the history and meaning of various parts of the building. An Appreciation Luncheon will be held at Noon. • UCC Bridgeport’s One Hundredth Anniversary Service and Banquet will be held on November 7. A special Worship Service begins at 10:00 AM, followed by a wreath laying ceremony at Mountain Grove Cemetery. Banquet begins at 12:00 Noon at Leidle’s in Stratford, Connecticut. HRC Lorain. OH • The Men’s Brotherhood will hold their Annual Bacon Fry on Sunday, September 12, at 3 PM. The meats will be furnished and congregation members are asked to bring their favorite covered dish or baked goods. • The Hungarian Reformed Church of Lorain will host the Fall Meeting of the Lakeside Classis on October 2. The church’s Visitation Committee will visit our members at area hospitals and nursing homes on October 10. They are always glad to see us and the visits are uplifting to all of us. FHRC-LA Hawthorne. CA • Sunday School begins on September 12. • Church will hold a Benefit Musical Program and Luncheon on September 19. Proceeds will benefit Mission. • The church will hold a Special Worship Service and Lord’s Supper for the New Wine on October 3. • On October 10, the church will hold their Fall Bazaar after worship services. Őszi Bazár. • On October 24, the church will hold a Lunch and October 23 Commemoration Program after the worship service.
