4 CALVIN SYNOD HERALD New Stained Glass Windows On Sunday, September 28,2003, the 3rd Avenue Calvin Reformed Church in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, celebrated the dedication of their New Kitchen and Stained Glass Windows. The service was under the leadership of their Pastor Rev. Imre A. Bertalan, Rev. Ilona Komjáthy Dean of Central Classis and Rev. Anita Sipos from Hungary participated in the Service. The windows were designed and stained by Mrs. Judy E Stratthaus and were a gift to the church in honor of past and present members. Mrs. Stratthaus spoke about why she created the windows and the meaning behind each window. She designed windows with the Lamb, praying hand, chalice, bread and grapes. The kitchen (Andy’s Kitchen) was installed by Mr. Endre Csornán and Sons. Mr. Csornán explained how the kitchen had been a dream of his for many years. Thanks to his sons and many good friends, his dream was realized. Also on this occasion, Certificates of Recognition were presented to Mrs. Judy Stratthaus, Mrs. Kathy Kovács, Mr. Butch Csornán, Mr Joseph Fabri, and Wilburn and Virginia Roby. Realizing the Chief Elder had not recognizes himself or Arlene Csornán, Mrs. Roby thanked them for their dedication to God and to the 3rd Avenue Calvin Reformed Church. Wilburn A. Roby, Jr. 3rd Avenue Calvin Reformed Church Beaver Falls, PA A New Season for TRAC This year the students at the Reformed Seminary at Kolozsvár (Cluj), Romania, will be running the TRAC mission under a new system. With the approval of the teachers and student body, every student will be taking part in their mission work in the Mezoseg. Each third year student will be going to the Mezoseg at least once a semester, which means that they can take part in this mission twice in that year. So, since everyone must go through this third year of study, every one of them will have the opportunity to meet and deal with the people of the Mezoseg. But this will not be the only opportunity to serve. The first year students will be taking lunches to elderly people who cannot come to the canteen to eat here. They will talk to these people, read the Bible with them, and buy them the medicines they need (in the way we have been doing with Aunt Bori). The second year students will be participating in our homeless mission. And the fourth year students will go with us to the hospitals. These are all programs that originated with the TRAC team. At the initiative of the student body, the programs were presented to the professors who happily agreed.
