She was to talk about the impact of the naval Chaplain in today’s tension filled climate overseas. On furlough from her assignment in Greece, it offered an opportunity to share with her colleagues since she holds standing in the Classis, and to relate her day to day responsibilities and unusual tasks in helping the nation’s men and women sailors. The meeting was called by the Dean, the Rev. György A. Cseh, who was scheduled to join in the opening devotions with the Rev. Leslie E. Martin, Secretary-Treasurer, and convene with a devotional service at eleven on Saturday morning in the First Hungarian Reformed Church of New York. In response to the Synod’s request for them to meet during the year, prior to the Annual Meeting, the assigned Synod committees were to meet in the afternoon. The Stewardship and Welfare Committee would be convened by its Chairman, Mr. James Balias. At the same time, the discussions of the Evangelism and Worship Committee would be moderated by its Chairman, the Rev. Albert W. Kovács. The Dean and Mrs. Cseh were in Hungary recently, giving their families an opportunity to meet the Cseh’s infant son and older brother. The Rev. Peter Toth and wife Brigitta also returned to the homeland with their daughter - dare we say their first child. The Lord does not rest of good works and has blessed love with his latest handiwork. Glory be to God! Rev. Albert W. Kovács 1 T
