CALVIN SYNOD HERALD- 5 -AMERIKAI MAGYAR REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA KOSOVO in the SPOTLIGHT History - at times - is Rattlebrained!- Pigmy Archer & the Twain - (Pan-Germanism & Pan-Slavism) HUNGARY IN DEFENSE OF CHRISTIAN WEST by Dr. Anthony Lelbach In the so-called Southern Region of former Hungary by the Yugoslavian Statistics 25% of the population is Hungarian. The war between the same Slavs, Croatians and Serbians, might continue for centuries to come. In the Albanian section of the Kosovo- Metohija region, the Albanians and Serbians keep killing each other without end. King Alexander in the past already was only able to rule with his "Orjuna", a fascistic group, and with dictatorial power in order to keep the fighting minorities together in his Kingdom. Tito after him ruled with an outright communistic dictatorship. No wonder Yugoslavia, made up of all colored mosaics, did not possess any unifying conception for a permanent unified Nation of any sort. After the death of Tito, under the influence of Kosovo's incidents a centralized ultra-nationalistic Serbian Government was established with Slobodan Milosevics at the helm. Milosevics - in regards to Hungarian minority - is led by a fanatical, untrue conception, that Vojvodina was attached to Yugoslavia through Serbian blood shed immensely, therefore the Serbians have a right to hold unto that territory by any kind of means. His favorite expression: "Yugoslavia exists for Serbia and Serbia for Yugoslavia." His false logics tells him, that where there is one Serbian grave that already is Serbia and wherever one Serb lives there an Orthodox church has to be built, and the Yugoslavian border will have to go up to the line of Lake Balaton in Hungary. Under Tito's rule already half of Hungarian Schools were closed. Belgrade openly declared that the magyars in Yugoslavia should be treated the same way as the magyars in Transylvania by the Romanians. To be a subscriber of the Hungarian language paper, the "Magyar Szó", means unpatriotic behavior. People speaking Hungarian are spat upon on the street. Forceful integration is the keyword. Yugoslavia reached the point of no-return! Belligerent actions between Serbs and others are the order of the day. The final extinction of magyars is their outright aim. The government of Hungary will have to be ready for a firm stand. The magyars of the South Land will have to be saved. That part of Yugo-Land will have to re-attach to Hungary. The Western Powers will have to be made to face "fait a compli", with no choice! Negotiations will lead to no avail! The magyars will have to be magyars again! World War II carried Hungary into unprecedented catastrophe. The Moscow directed Pan-Slavism brought the Russian into the belly of Europe. Slavic nations were created on north and on south. They were proven by history not to be able to survive as nations. The loss of War placed Hungary into a colonial existence. The Southern Slavs, under Tito, made minorities suffer more and be disintegrated more than any minorities any place on earth. It was a dictatorially composed new unit, which could never become a unit and remained a fire hazard of the continent. The dissolution ofthat forcefully created "Yugo-Unit" was predicted. In fact, it never was a living and life-worthy state. The Serbian Dream was always only a dream. Potsdam accepted it, Tito was jubilant at Potsdam. But no earthly power could ever stop the disintegration of that artificially-concocted State. The very present of our history hits the headlines day after day! History does not respect firm borderlines! All borders are changeable and changing! The headstones on the graves cry accusations. They also force us to remember! At the same time, they also ask for action and demand action from the populace of the present. After World War II, Yugoslavia was divided into Federations. The magyar "Délvidék", Szerémség and Vajdaság, became an "independently governed" State with the name of Vojvodina. The government was placed in the hands of the executive communist council. Headquartered in Újvidék. That was only a misleading illusion for a short time. When Tito was firmly established at once merged Vojvodina into the Serbian People's Republic, which meant removing its autonomy for good. The Parliament of Vojvodina was merged into "Narodna Skupstina" at Belgrade. That was finalized in 1987 by Slobodan Milosevics by firm legal action of the Supreme Council. It meant the rule came from Serbian Belgrade. In spite of all that the Western Powers through Tito’s maneuvering always regarded Yugoslavia as a democratic Republic. Like all communistic governments after World War II, Tito's partisan government also relied on the power of the Soviet armed forces. They all got into their position of power by the help of the Soviet military, but later tried to build-up a power seat of their own. The people of Vojvodina soon realized that instead of having freedom of individuals, they were forced into atheistic and communistic forms of living and were forced into an inferior style of existence a la Balcanic standards as unwilling subjects of little male and female "secretaries" of the Communist Regime. The controlling hand of the regime was centered in the armed policing exponents of the dictatorship, recruited from partizans, bandits and terrorists. The "people's police" torturing "militia" was in charge of concentration camps in the whole of Yugoslavia. The abuse of power prevailed all over the land. UNRA help came from the West unlimitedly, in the form of food, clothing and farming equipment. Continued on Page 6
