Exemplary Gift from the Synod Our editor, due to illness, was absent from this year's Annual Meeting. (This is the first time in six decades). The Synod voted and sent a gift of $1,500 as a token of thanks for his work and accomplishments. The Editor and his family wish to express their most sincere thanks to the Synod for their gracious act. God be with us! Our Sixtieth Synodical Meeting made a great number of important decisions regarding the work of our ministers and congregations of the Synod. Many of these synodical decisions are intended to fortify and strengthen our youth work, women’s work and congregational life in general. New plans were sent to the Hungarian Reformed Church in America and the eternally discussed Plan of Union and the preservation of our church materials in the Museum and Archive of Bethlen Home. The Synod discussed the plan of the continuation of the editorship of our Paper, since our editor is planning to retire. He has been affectionately called “eternally young” by many, but unfortunately, such a thing does not exist! Our editor is eternally thankful to God for the exceptional grace that He made him an instrument of saving our Publication first for 5 years, and the second time for a period of 10 years. Glory to God and only to Him forever!
