CALVIN SYNOD HERALD AMERIKAI MAGYAR REFORMÁTUSOK LAPJA- 8 -Another PEMCO Heart-Lung Machine is on the way to Pécs The Medical School at Pécs University will be the recipient of the newest PEMCO Unit to be used for open-heart surgeries in Hungary. Our publication's "life sub­scriber", William Köteles's PEMCO manu­factured the unit. Cleveland's First Church on Valentine- Sunday, collected funds in a special en­velopes for the project and repeated the same on Sunday, March 10th. The picture of the very first Unit is presented for inspiration regarding this "Good Sa­maritan" project of our churches. The Lakeside Classis, at its Spring Meeting, approached the Synod with a unanimous vote to ask all congregations to participate in this Project by appointing a special Heart-Lung Unit Sunday with the use of special envelopes sent by the Synod, and also requesting Church World Service to match total contributions by the same amount so that more PEMCO Units can be sent to Hungary and the succes­sion states to save Magyar lives.
