Peter Bodor in Sarasota, Florida. era THE COLUMBUS, OHIO CHURCH will celebrate its 90th anniversary on April 21, 1996 with dignified celebrations at 4:00 p.m. Service will be followed by the banquet. era '96 SYNOD MEETING - The days of May 21-24 were set aside for the Annual Meeting this year, in Ligonier, PA at the Ramada Inn. era THE SÁROSPATAK CHOIR will come to America and will present 10 concerts one week before Easter of 1996. era THE ANNUAL YOUTH CAMP AND CONFERENCE will be held on the last week of July, 1996. All congregations are asked to send their youth delegations to that important gathering together with the youth of the Reformed Church in America. era THE HUNGARIAN REFORMED FEDERATION OF AMERICA will observe the 100th Anniversary of their founding in 1996. The festivities will commence in Trenton, N.J. on September 15th with a Worship Service. On September 16th, a Banquet will be held in the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick. The convention will end on September 19th. era THE FIRST HUNGARIAN REFORMED CLASSIS will observe its 100th Anniversary on October 27, 1996. This Classis is now the Eastern Classis of the Calvin Synod. This is the first organized Hungarian Reformed Church group outside Hungary. A Dedication Service will be held on April 28, Sunday. The solemn service will begin at 4:00 p.m. The Dedication Banquet will be held on the day before, Saturday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m. This will be the fourth temple built by the congregation, (now at the new Walton Hills location.) The building pastor, Rev. Frank Endrei, announced his retirement for July 1, 1996. The unexpected announcement surprised all. Everyone had hoped he might stay on for a while to enjoy the beauty of the new sanctuary that he himself had built. History has a way of repeating itself in the long 105 year life of our First Church. The very first minister of our fold in America, Rev. Gusztáv Jurányi, who organized the first church on this side of the ocean, resigned and returned to Hungary soon after the church started its life on the shore of Lake Erie.
